Motorized Outdoor Screen FAQs
Everything you need to know about our screens and process.
Product & Options
OutdoorShadePal screens are custom-built to your specifications. Available dimensions depend on the selected system and your opening. Your dealer will measure your space and confirm the model's size limits.
OutdoorShadePal screens are custom made in the USA for the precise dimensions and requirements of your space. Every system is built to order for a clean fit and professional installation.
We offer premium exterior motorized screens and exterior open roller shades. Manual screens and French-door screens are not part of our offering. Your local dealer can recommend the right system for your patio, garage, or commercial outdoor space.
Fabric options depend on whether you need solar shading, insect protection, privacy, or an open roller shade. Your dealer can show available fabric samples, colors, and openness levels and explain the tradeoffs for your space.
Exterior screens and shades are primarily designed for shade, glare, insects, or privacy, depending on the system. They are not a waterproof enclosure. Follow the product's weather and retraction instructions, and discuss exposure to rain and wind with your dealer.
Motorized screens operate at the touch of a button. Remote controls, wall switches, smart-home integration, and compatible sensors depend on the system selected. Your dealer can explain which options are available for your project.
Compatible wind sensors may be available depending on the selected motor and control system. Your dealer can confirm compatibility and explain safe operating limits. Sensors do not replace the manufacturer's instructions for severe weather.
Installation & Process
Submit your ZIP code and project details through our quote form. A certified OutdoorShadePal dealer serving your area will contact you to discuss the project and arrange a consultation. They can measure the space, explain available options, and provide a tailored quote.
The total timeline depends on consultation scheduling, custom manufacturing, and installation availability. Most residential installations take 2–4 hours once the system is ready. Your dealer will confirm an estimated schedule for your project.
Permit and HOA requirements vary by location and project. Discuss approvals with your local dealer before installation, including which documentation and responsibilities apply to your property.
Mounting options depend on the chosen system and the structure of your opening. A dealer will inspect the site and recommend suitable supports, hardware, and installation methods.
Yes. OutdoorShadePal connects residential homeowners and commercial property owners with certified dealers for exterior motorized screens and open roller shades. Your dealer can assess the project's dimensions, usage, and any additional approval or engineering requirements.
Care & Warranty
Screens include a 10-year limited warranty covering the frame and fabric, and a separate 3-year warranty on motorized components. Your dealer will confirm the applicable product terms, exclusions, and any installation or labor warranty.
Follow the cleaning instructions supplied with your fabric and system. Remove loose debris gently, use only recommended cleaning products, and allow the fabric to dry before retracting. Ask your dealer about routine maintenance for the motor, guides, and mounting hardware.
Follow the manufacturer's wind, snow, ice, and storm guidance for your system. Retract it when required and do not rely solely on optional automation to protect it. Your dealer can explain seasonal care for your climate.
Service life depends on the system, fabric, exposure, usage, and maintenance. Following the manufacturer's care and weather guidance helps protect the screen. Your dealer can explain the expected maintenance and warranty coverage of the options you are considering.
Pricing & Dealers
Pricing depends on opening size, fabric, controls, mounting requirements, and installation conditions. A certified local dealer will assess your space and provide a tailored quote for your motorized screen.
